Cities are expanding rapidly in many countries of the Global South, creating new spatial challenges regarding well-being, equality, health, and resilience.

At the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands, research and education from various faculties and with many stakeholders is focussing to actively contribute to find viable routes to tackle these challenges.

The Global Urban Lab is a communication and action platform that brings visibility and articulation to TU Delft staff and students doing work on topics of urbanisation in the Global South.

Next to hosting discussions, lectures and events, the Global Urban Lab predominantly wants to connect and build knowledge:

serving as a platform throughout all faculties, schools, and departments for researchers and practitioners to meet, learn and collaborate in a truly transdisciplinary manner.
